Knight Costume vest

My son wanted to be a knight for Halloween after finding a helmet, chest plate & sword at the dollar store. My other son wanted to wear a Scooby Doo costume we've had for 3 years & has now been worn 3 times. So Halloween 2010 cost me only $3!

I used a shirt as a template & cut 2 pieces of shiny fabric to cover the shirt. I then simply used my serger (a must for this kind of fabric) to sew them together, cut them in half & sewed together again to make squares. Super easy, about 30 minutes total.

The first one I made too small & the daycare lady ripped it. So I had to make another one which I made bigger since this fabric does not stretch.

Handsome & happy!
